Long ago were the days when mobile users played simple and addictive games such as Fruit Ninja and Temple run. Sure, similar games exist today, but more serious gamers can now enjoy playing big-scale, console titles such as PUBG.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is a battle royale third-person shooter game, where up to 100 players dive on a large map with nothing but their fists to fight with! The main goal is to gather enough equipment such as guns, a durable helmet, first aid equipment, and a large backpack, before you go on to fight literally everyone you encounter. The large map shrinks overtime so make sure you stay inside the safe circle!
The game supports modes where you can play in teams consisting of up to four players, which is definitely the best way to play, as playing solo is quite difficult. Finding a friend or two to play with shouldn't be difficult as almost everyone is playing it!
The game is well optimized for most mobile devices, but you still need a newer smartphone with plenty of free space for the download. We tested the game on Huawei P20 Lite, Apple iPhone 5s, and Samsung Galaxy J6 and the game is playable even on medium settings. The game is definitely one of the most entertaining mobile games of all time, but it's not a pick-up-and-play title.
Shooting via touch screen is also difficult sometimes. You often end up shooting instead of dragging your camera, which is both annoying and it lets enemies know if you are nearby. Also, voice recording is somewhat buggy and we noticed that we can barely understand each other, even on quality Internet connections.
